12 oz. beer
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup tropical fruit juice
1 tbsp. Soya sauce
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. chopped garlic
1/2 tsp. savory
1 chicken ( 2 1/2 lb. Chicken , cut into pieces)
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a large pan, boil the beer by half, cool. In a large bowl, stir together the beer, maple syrup, tropical fruit juice. Soya sauce, mustard, green onion, garlic and savory. Add the chicken pieces, turn to coat on all sides and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
2. Drain the chicken pieces well, season and grill on the barbecue for 20 - 25 minutes over medium hot coals; brush the chicken pieces with the remaining marinade during the grilling.
3. Serve with vegetable shish kebabs and a green salad.
